We’re excited to let you know about a new, much-needed initiative: San Francisco Aid for Animals (SFAfA). SFAfA is an assistance fund to help low-income clients with emergency veterinary care. This is a new project of the San Francisco Veterinary Medical Association and Community Initiatives. VCA SFVS’s own Alan Stewart, DVM, DACVIM, is one of the leaders of this new project, serving on the advisory committee.
To get things rolling, SFAfA is holding a launch party on April 10. Details:

Sunday, April 10, 2011, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. @ Hobson’s Choice Bar, 1601 Haight Street, San Francisco
– Light snacks will be provided and drinks will be available.
– Please help us raise funds for this new endeavor through our silent auction.
– A raffle will also be held at the party for a new iPad 2 (64GB with Wi-Fi)!
