More About Kristine Yee, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Originally from New York City, Dr. Kristine Yee attended undergraduate and veterinary school at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. She then moved to Boston to continue her training through an internship at Angell Animal Medical Center. After two consecutive “worst winters ever,” according to long-term local residents, she moved to sunny Los Angeles. There, she completed a cardiology residency at California Animal Hospital and achieved board certification in 2009.
Dr. Yee subsequently entered a postdoctoral fellowship to further her skill set at an interventional cardiology lab at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Heart Institute. She has since returned to specialty practice, happy to be back with the pets and their owners. She always thought she would return home to New York, but in 2011, she met her fiancé, who was born and bred in “warm” San Francisco. So Dr. Yee is here in the Bay Area to stay! In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, hiking, going to the beach, and playing fetch with Butters, her rescue cat with an atrial septal defect.
